The material

Travertine is a limestone formed by hot springs. Its small cavities, its layers and its honey, cream or hazel shades make it a stone that is gentle to the eye, present in Italian architecture since Antiquity.

We present natural Italian travertine, and porcelain stonewares that reproduce its look in large formats. They keep the warmth of the stone without cavities to fill or the care a limestone needs.

Frequently asked questions

Is travertine fragile?

+

It is a limestone, sensitive to acids (lemon, vinegar, some cleaning products). Properly treated and cleaned with neutral products, it ages well. In a kitchen, travertine-effect porcelain is often the calmer choice.

Filled or unfilled travertine?

+

Filled, the cavities are closed for a smoother surface that is easier to care for. Unfilled, the stone keeps its relief. We show the difference with samples.
