We have worked for several years with Kyrya, the Spanish specialist in fully bespoke bathroom furniture. Seven base structures (Mykonos, Formentera, Ibiza, Menorca, Ios, Hydra, Santorini) cover current configurations — wall-hung, floor-mounted, double or single basin, with or without drawers — but every dimension is made to order: width to the millimetre, custom height, depth adjusted to the hallway. Carcass finishes include 20 matt or satin lacquers, timber-effect melamines (oak, walnut, teak) and technical laminates for wet rooms. Handles can be integrated (routed grooves), surface-mounted or absent (push-pull).
Vanity tops are made of Pivstone (mineral composite stone, 70% natural quartz and marble, 30% resin, soft matt finish) and Pivsolid (a denser version for integrated basins and bath surrounds). These materials offer scratch, heat and UV resistance superior to Corian or Krion, in 15 colours that pair with travertine, Calacatta and Nero Marquina. The seamless integrated basin creates a highly contemporary monolithic read, hard to achieve in traditional ceramic. In our Brunel (17e) showroom, a full-scale Kyrya unit (Mykonos double basin in Pivstone Blanco) is displayed with its taps in context. For interior architects and decorators, we embed the unit into the project through AutoCAD plans and detailed quotations.

What is Pivstone and how does it differ from Corian?
+
Pivstone is a mineral composite specific to Kyrya, made of 70% natural quartz and marble and 30% polyester resin. Its structure is closer to stone than Corian (100% acrylic): higher density (2,300 kg/m³ vs 1,700), stone-like touch, heat resistance up to 180°C. Corian is softer, thermoforms into curves and repairs by sanding. Pivstone offers a more mineral read and higher abrasion resistance.
What is the lead time for a bespoke Kyrya unit?
+
Standard lead time is 5 to 7 weeks after drawing sign-off: carcass manufacturing, Pivstone top cutting, basin integration, lacquer or melamine finishing, quality control, shipping. Complex finishes (pigmented matt lacquer, special melamine) can extend to 8-10 weeks. Delivery to Paris and Île-de-France organised in-house.
Can the basin be integrated into the top with no joint?
+
Yes, this is one of Pivstone and Pivsolid's main strengths: the basin is thermoformed into the top with no silicone joint or visible bonding. The result is monolithic and easier to clean. The alternatives are a countertop basin (sculptural freestanding) or a semi-recessed ceramic basin (fine joint around the perimeter).
What is the minimum depth for a bathroom vanity?
+
The comfortable minimum is 45 cm, enough for a 40 cm basin, a wall-mounted tap and two useful drawers. Below (35-40 cm) is corridor-vanity territory, suited to studios and secondary rooms. Standard comfort depth is 50 to 55 cm, allowing a 45 cm basin and deep drawers for towels and products.
Are Kyrya units suitable for wet rooms?
+
Yes. Carcasses are built in water-resistant melamine (P4 class) or edge-sealed lacquered MDF. Blum hinges and runners are warranted 10 years in damp environments. Pivstone tops are non-porous. A performant mechanical ventilation (VMC) is still recommended, and prolonged exposure to direct water spray should be avoided.
