Lamartine
An Atelier Matière project
Designed for a prestige property intended for an international clientele, this master bathroom unfolds a timeless aesthetic founded on the pairing of noble and technical materials.
The room's envelope is treated in porcelain stoneware with a travertine effect, whose mineral texture ensures visual unity between the floor and the walls while bringing a natural warmth.
The space's luxurious character is underscored by the use of Taj Mahal granite, custom cut. Integrated as a vanity top and as wall slabs, this natural stone dialogues with the surrounding finishes through a play of contrasts between matte and glossy surfaces. This material work structures the volumes and adds depth without weighing down the reading of the room.
The interior architecture is organised around a clear compositional stance: a guiding line clearly separates the shower from the bathing area. A freestanding bathtub in matte white Corian imposes itself through its sculptural simplicity, while integrated niches in the shower and above the bathtub optimise the volumes. Old-bronze finish fittings, combining a patinated appearance with resolutely modern lines, affirm the balance between retro inspiration and contemporary design.
