Frequently asked questions about this category
Do you make bespoke curtains and cushions?
+
Yes. Our textile studio, based in the Paris 16th showroom, makes bespoke curtains, cushions, banquettes, headboards and rugs in fabrics from Pierre Frey, Arte, Thévenon and other editors. Made in France, with installation included in the Paris region. Our team comes to take measurements and advises on lining, interlining, rails and fitting. The quote details yardage, making-up and fitting, with an average lead time of 4 to 8 weeks depending on volume.
Are all the fabrics shown online available?
+
The few collections shown on the website are only a glimpse. Atelier Matière distributes thousands of references from Pierre Frey (including the Braquenié, Le Manach, Fadini Borghi and Boussac houses), Arte, Thévenon and other editors. The full catalogues can be browsed in our showroom, with physical samples, fabric books and advice from a dedicated decorator. We order the yardage you need, in 2 to 4 weeks depending on the editor and the print run.
Can these fabrics be used in a humid room?
+
Some collections can. Arte offers several vinyl and treated textile ranges suited to humid rooms, such as bathroom entrances, dressing rooms and laundry rooms, as long as the wall is not directly exposed to water splashes. Pierre Frey also publishes washable fabrics and wallpapers for kitchens and secondary bathrooms. We review the intended use and constraints with you before confirming an order for a humid room.
