Café Lacoste, custom cushions in Pierre Frey fabric
For Roland Garros, Atelier Matière made the cushions for Café Lacoste. Pierre Frey fabric certified M1, made in France.

For Roland Garros, Atelier Matière supported Café Lacoste on the custom making of its cushions. A commission produced in Pierre Frey fabric, certified for public-access venues, and made in France.
A project rooted in the Lacoste heritage
Café Lacoste is the Parisian extension of the spirit of the house founded by René Lacoste, tennis player and creator of the famous crocodile polo. To outfit its space, Café Lacoste was looking for a French maker able to meet precise technical requirements.
Fir-green and rust-red colourways, crocodile and bi-material tennis-ball motifs, piped finish.
Atelier Matière carried the full project, from fabric selection to delivery. The project visuals, staged on a clay court, extend this natural dialogue between the world of tennis and soft-furnishings know-how.
The Pierre Frey fabric, certified for public-access venues
The choice fell on a Pierre Frey fabric woven to the M1 standard, mandatory for public-access venues. Pierre Frey is a French publishing house founded in 1935, recognised for its high-end fabrics. This collaboration between two guardians of French textile heritage ensures both visual quality and regulatory safety.
Atelier Matière's soft-furnishings know-how
Our textile department, located in the 16th-arrondissement showroom at 19 rue Vital, makes custom curtains, cushions, banquettes and rugs. Each piece is made in France and installed by our team. A commission like Café Lacoste's illustrates what our soft-furnishings service covers: fabric sourcing, technical advice, manufacturing, delivery.
